If ever there was a day you wish you could get a refund on your kid, today would be that day haha…. just kidding.
So last night at bedtime he suddenly remembers its Ugly Christmas Sweater day today.. I was exhausted, so figured ok.. guess I am getting up at 4 am then … So I get up, I make the ugliest Christmas sweater I can come up with using one of his plain knit sweaters … felt Christmas tree, gift boxes “pockets” under the tree to hold… yes .. the battery operated LED lights…
Awful sewing, some buttons, ribbon, a few sequins that hadn’t fallen off, stickles puff paint stuff I had lying around….and green and blue lights…
We get to the school bus stop just before the bus arrived and one of the little girls looks at him and says..
“It’s red n white candy cane stripes day, ugly sweaters is tomorrow”
** SIGH
Luckily the sweater is white and his gloves are red and he had on his Santa hat too… lol …I gotta love this kid… even when we mess up, we managed to pull it off haha. I am so glad we decided to buy a bunch of felt and threads etc. recently to teach him to sew..and I had some spare LED light sets I picked up on clearance a few years ago.
I emailed his teacher to apologize for the mix up… and she said “He looks so cute, he can war it again” at least I will have time to finish it up properly and add a bit more bling for tomorrow lol. I rarely ever post current pics of my kid publicly, I am pretty protective of him in general and specially our privacy… but since he wants to become a Youtube sensation and blogger one day… I guess I can’t hide him forever lol.
And yes HE has long hair…..
