My 3D Decoupage Christmas Pikachu Magnet

This is a Pikachu that we made, I used 3 Pieces  and it was fun.

Mom addon:  For new users to the blog.. Li’l ManD  is my son (he is 8 and my sidekick/co-author in this new blog)

We found the free coloring page online and saved it, there were some cobwebs we faded out and then the image was printed 4 up on 65lb card  stock.  I fussy cut the image out for Lil’ Man D, normally I would do this on my Cricut, but I didn’t want to fire it up right now.  Once the 3 layers were cut down to remove sections, he did a test color .. then got coloring.   The image is colored using Chameleon Pens, Sakura Stardust Gelly Roll and a splash of Glossy Accents for fun… and the obligatory sprinkle of glitter.  Each layer was padded using Darice craft foam and double sided tape and some magnetic strip was added to the back.  It is now proudly displayed on our fridge

The main objective here was to..
A teach him a new technique … 3D Decoupage
B teach him about shading and color blending
C teach him how to write his own blog posts, take and edit pics, upload, write about his projects << epic fail on the latter lol.. but it’s early days.  For a kid who never stops talking..it can be painful trying to get him to write more than two words.  I see him having a career in literature.. audible books lol
