I am sure I can’t be the only crafter who has a tonne of WIP projects and a long list of future todo’s!
This is just a few of the ongoing projects I have this week…. aside from helping Li’l Man D out with his projects.
Sometimes I want to do a project start to finish and other times ….I need to color my images, or rough out projects and then just sit back for a few days and look at them, chew over a few ideas… till inspiration hits.
I rarely ever end up with a project that looks exactly how I planned it in my head, they tend to take on a life of their own over the duration of the project. Sometimes that can be frustrating and sometimes it can be exciting ..because it comes as a surprise to even me when it’s finally completed lol. I have a habit of mixing up my projects and not sticking to just one medium.. which in itself has been a lot of fun.
Thankfully I am a single mom with a crafty kid, so between the pair of us, there are usually a bunch of different craft projects and supplies scattered around. This past summer I built new craft storage and the plan was to have a designated spot for different types of crafts.. well that was great in theory.. but I am still trying to figure out the best way to organize everything.
We ended up with a new floor to ceiling craft bench, 7 foot long x 2 foot wide3 shelves on the bench and then 4 smaller shelves above… then a second bench 8 x 2 and 3 shelves on the bench for computers and more craft storage below..and it’s STILL NOT ENOUGH ..and that is on top of the existing two 4×2 rolling craft carts with 16 cubes a piece I built years ago and the ottoman stuffed full of craft paper and the huge 6x2x3 wooden crate crammed full of odds n ends ..nor all the hanging pockets or the boxes stacked up on top of my freezer…and the storage dresser and filing cabinet.. I could craft for 10 years and never have to buy a thing except for ink and tape except we like too many other crafts like resin, plaster and now candle making… which need a steady supply of product haha *sigh.
Talking of which, I wish they would hurry up and deliver my ink refills for my Chameleon Pens…
Life is too short to stress the little things ..right haha
