Fun AND “Covid friendly” teachers gifts

Li’l Man D and I made some “Covid friendly” Christmas gifts for his teachers.  He is in Dual Language classes so, has two “main” teachers.  We needed something Covid friendly so, these cute wooden boxes with acetate windows were perfect.

We have a Daiso store near us which we love to shop in, it’s not really a craft store,  but it does have some great things we can use for crafting and a small selection of craft items… and trust me …you will see more Daiso goodies as the blog progresses.  These wooden boxes are a great find, and useful for so many things….and at a whopping $1.50, you can’t beat the value.

The boxes were stained with a red ink and given an inked edge for an aged look.  We printed up these background papers.. yes..I know… you do not have to point it out .. haha but by the time I realized we were filled and sealed and weren’t about to break it all out and start over.

We filled these emergency kits with all of the essentials, glue sticks, push pins, pencils, erasers and paper clips.  The pencils were too long so I sawed them in half and sanded the ends down.  We added a sparkly, adhesive, foil ribbon tape from my stash to make the seal and then put them in clear baggies (..to make them more Covid friendly).  They are sealed but his teachers can still safely see what it is.

We also made some cute green minty candles in glass votive jars, but for the life of me..I can’t find those pics
