The Hyper Tough Storage Escapades! ..grab ’em before they are gone

There is nothing more fun than chasing down the elusive only available in stores items on a nice cold winter evening.  <<Insert slight sarcasm here

So I bought a couple of these Hyper Tough storage cases last year for Li’l Man D to keep his jewelry making supplies in.  They were a great price, less than $10 for a two pack. Adjustable compartments, stackable, clip together and  even if you flip it over, the items in the storage compartments stay put  and don’t mix due to the design of the lid and dividers.  Perfect for an 8 year old to handle, not too bulky or heavy.

It’s a lie!!!!  there are not 4 left in stock.. they are sitting in my apt haha

So I had planned to get him more for Christmas, but that didn’t happen… so I figure ok… I will order him some online.. NOPE apparently  not…. Store purchase only.  Ok I got this… limited availability, he is not home tonight… I will grab Lyft… so I go to order a LYFT and I hear someone banging on my door.

Great timing, my crafty  gal pal Shay is standing there with a late Christmas gift for Lil Man D. I tell her she is lucky  she caught me.. (  oh did I forget to mention this is our thrifty cohort… yup we all love thrifting and upcycling).  Needless to say, we ended up heading to her local Walmart together.

I get there, we finally figure out where aisle I27 is ….nope its not next to I26.. funny you should ask… its along the wall next to  I 17 or some such.   And low and behold.. NADA, not a single  pack of these to be found…  I finally locate one… and yes I mean ONE… someone had apparently split the 2 pack and left one on a shelf somewhere else… * sigh.

Well I had to pick up a few other bits anyway..so I grab my card stock, a hammer and chisel… that’s for Li’l Man D and his gal pal downstairs to break open Geodes.. which is a whole different post. …..and we head home…well she did.

I dropped my stuff in the apt and called LYFT and headed to my local Walmart. BOOYAH !!! right there where they are supposed to be… the only 4 in the whole store.

Of course they are on the top shelf and I can only reach the front two… but a smile can get you anything in Walmart (even with a mask on haha) … and it got me a very helpful, young man who stood at least a foot taller than me haha.  I knew there was a reason I like tall men  * grin

When you are 5 foot 1 and a half, you either date tall men…. or hope security don’t tell you off for scaling the shelving like a member of Spec Ops haha

It seems like these may be getting discontinued, so if you need some affordable storage for your small crafty nick nacks…. I would definitely check out your local Walmart ASAP.  I know I will be checking out some of the other local ones if I get a chance.
