I was hoping to find some of my old blog emails to re-publish a few of my favorite old posts, but having as many drives as I have…. yeah that could take a while.
So I am republishing some of the pictures from my Pinterest boards in the meantime…. and if anyone has any questions about a particular piece…. feel free to comment, or send me a PM on my Facebook, or Twitter accounts.
It is kind of fun to look back at some of my old projects…. I remember my very first card…. oh dear it was awful haha.
I had just got my Cricut which I actually bought to make custom photo mats. I had no clue about coloring, or making cards. I ran into a bunch of ladies on the Cricut forums who had a card challenge going on….and that led to cardmaking and making some great friends, who later became my old Design Team.
My craft stash was.. dismal to say the least and I think I colored my first few projects with … my kids Crayolas haha.
Things have sure changed since those days….I still do not consider myself a card maker, or a colorist…. I am just a crazy chick having fun with my kid and some cool crafty friends. Sometimes they turn out cool, other times I am like…. WTH do I do with this now?
But never fear…. that is what Abandoned art is for haha. Just because I don’t particularly like a project, doesn’t mean someone else won’t.
I have always been more of an experimental crafter. Experimenting, pushing the boundaries and discovering new things is as much fun to me as finishing a piece. I know what I like and and don’t like and I amcomfortable with who I am and my personal style.
I like to experiment with media…as you can probably tell by the mix of projects below.. bed sheet to magnet, acetate and velvet paper.. it’s all fun.
