Converting photo images to SVG

I was playing around online and found some cool apps you can use to convert your photos to SVG cut files… this is fun for anyone who like to do silhouette style projects, stencils or vinyl.

I used two different online apps to create this … removebg and picsvg.

The original image had a busy background which was removed using removebg.

Both programs have editing options, so you can tweak the results to suit your picture…. or project.  Now these aren’t as powerful as some of the graphics programs, but they are definitely a good option for someone who needs to personalize a project and doesn’t need to do it on a regular basis.

After the background was removed  picsvg  converts it to the final image ready for your cutting machines.  A pretty neat set of tools that are definitely worth a  bookmark and some play time.

I can see  Li’lManD  really enjoying this one… this would be a good project to get him started on learning how to use my Cricut and developing his photography skills at the same time.
