So I live in a townhome and one of the things I didn’t like was the 4 panel glass window in my front door. It looks straight onto my stairs and hallway to the laundry and garage for all to see. I have always been conscious of this especially at night when I have the lights on. My hallway is floor to ceiling craft storage… I don’t need everyone seeing everything lol.
I have a lot of neighbors who like to walk around the complex at night… so I had added some window film to at least obscure it a little and give me some privacy while doing laundry or going back n forth to my garage.
I also have a similar kind of window on my stairs and landing to the upper floor and Lil’ ManD’s bedroom which I temporarily covered with a sheet for privacy… but it looks ghetto and I have been tryng to come up with a better solution..and I think I have.
I am printing lithophane panels which I will inset over the glass panels with a temporary adhesive. This will allow me to change out the panels depending on the holiday, or just my mood.
The door panels are 5.25 x 5.25 inches and the hallway are approx 10.25x 10.25 inches. Using these panels will give me privacy inside without losing all of the natural light during the day, keeps my “window coverings” white per the rules… and at night makes my windows look cool. I call that a win all round!
This is my test run..some Halloween panels for the front door.
