Screw you cupid – Valentine’s project for the recently single lol

Not all of us can be angel wings and fairy dust, flowers and chocolates kinda girls. At some point in life most of us have had a Valentine’s day unexpectedly alone, pining for someone we love. Or just feeling less than amorous towards a recent ex love interest.

Cupid isn’t always that helpful, or a good aim either and we get a shot of the old love arrow right in the (_*_).

So for all the single ladies out there who won’t be sending or receiving any Valentine’s this year…. I hope this at least gives you a giggle.  I am so happy I won’t be needing to send this one out this year, thankfully it ended up just a fun project that suited my sense of humor at the time.

This is my February Creative Team project for Mirtillamente

This is an “Over the edge” card featuring Mirtillamente’s So’getta F*ck with a black drop shadow effect.  I imported her into Cricut Design Space and added the card body to the image… then cut her out.

I added a red liner  using  65 lb card and trimmed it to fit.
She is colored with Chameleon and Zig Kurecolor markers
The spine was punched with a comb binder and laced with a red velvet ribbon.  I attached two wooden hearts  decorated with a purple glitter and contrasting red foil hearts using some jewelry findings and chain from our jewelry making stash..

The inside sentiment was made in paint shop pro and  printed on 110lb white card and it was attached at a skewed angle with a contrasting black layer for impact.
